Lightfoot Ms. Annis said that a request to other towns for information on
traffic studies and RFPs has been responded to by Meredith and New
London. Meredith has used
an engineer from Concord, Stephen Pernaw, and the study cost a few
thousand. New London’s
study was around $30,000, and they used Clough Harbor and Associates.
However, their study included things that we will not need, or
that we already have. Ms.
Annis said she had also contacted Dominic Cevaro, who had worked on the
Corridor Study. It was
agreed that she, Mr. Violette and Mr. Mical would meet with Mr. Cevaro
to gather information and bring it back for discussion.
Some Board members discussed the possibility that because there was
no response to the original RFP if that meant that we could not put out
another RFP and just hire someone.
Mr. Violette announced that we did not get the HCPP grant. Mr. Hartman asked if all Alternate positions have now been filled.
Ms. Annis said yes. Mr. Mical said the Hazard Mitigation Plan must be in the Master Plan.
Mr. Hartman asked about where disaster planning, like flooding,
and consideration of loss of household goods would fit in.
Mr. Mical said the Hazard Mitigation Plan is the overall plan and
the more detailed plan is put together after that. At 7:20 p.m., the meeting was split into two: the Master Plan
Committee and the rest of the Planning Board to work on the regulation
audit.
