Stopping at the State Park Toll Gate On Monday, August 14th, the Crew Members of the USS Kearsarge stopped at the entrance to Rollins State Park on Mt. Kearsarge. The weather was less than desirable but all were determined to climb to the top of Mt. Kearsarge regardless.
Following the trail, it became very foggy and the rain started to come down harder. But everyone pressed on! In the Clouds!
Wandering around in the fog.

Finally, at the Top. The view was non-existent.

Crew members Derrick Lee (front) Jonathon Tobias, Billy Young and Andrae Montayne stop at the sign post on the top of the mountain. Proof that we're at the top!
Who says Command Master Chief's don't pitch in?? Jonathan Tobias and Command Master Chief Quibilan carry a piece of Red Oak that remained from a tree originally cut to make the Plankowner Plaques given to each crew member when the USS Kearsarge was commissioned October 16, 1993.
